Well, we didn’t see that coming.
This season’s bachelor, Matt James, surprised the show’s big following by unexpectedly sending home their hero, Katie. The pragmatic and likeable potential fiancee had made a name for herself in previous weeks by standing up to the bullies in the house, while injecting some humor into the process, such as bringing a toy to the first night.
Now? She’s gone.
Someone who is not gone is Heather. Who after a stalkerish return in a Dodge Caravan with some hotel room videos, ambushed the end of the show setting up some drama for next week.
But let’s talk about Katie some more.
After she was sent home, social media immediately started their campaign to make her the next Bachelorette….

And really, why shouldn’t she be?
She really does have what it takes to win over a crowd. In addition to being attractive, she’s also demonstrated that she’s smart and funny. I would watch a season featuring her.
Katie was the first of my three premiere favorites to go home. Abigail and Kit are still there. Abigail had a mixed night and Kit could be a late season villain. We’ll have to see.
Anyways, we’ll all be here next week. Great episode.
