AEW: Hangman vs. Danielson delivered as expected, but TNT hurts the flow

Winter is Coming was great. But, let’s be real, most of us already knew that when we saw Hangman Adam Page booked against Bryan Danielson.

And as expected the two burned the house down for over an hour. How these two athletes developed the stamina to put on that kind of high energy match for that long is beyond me. And given the reaction on social media, most of you agree. It was one of the best matches of the year.

But boy, TNT was really overcooking our grits with the commercial breaks. The network was the only hurdle with this broadcast, just like they keep punting the show during the NBA postseason.

That’s not AEW’s fault. They’ve got to pay the bills. But the network should consider limited commercial interruptions for future broadcasts of this caliber. I can guarantee you they will see the return of investment.

The rest of the broadcast was pretty good too.

I can’t wait to see Wardlow go nuclear on MJF. It’s coming and Wardlow has the goods to really wreck the scene whenever AEW decides to turn him loose.

Yeah, she was champion for a year, but we still don’t appreciate Hikaru Shida enough. Her match with Serena Deeb was terrific. And that pin? *Chef’s kiss*

MJF continued solidifying his position as one of the best heels in the industry. No one else deserves that Dynamite Diamond Ring, and give us Dante Martin vs. Ricky Starks. I’ll take that match tomorrow.

It was a great show. AEW has been on a roll for a while now and I’ll keep showing up for it.
