On January 3rd, the latest edition of The Bachelor will kick off on ABC with 31 contestants vying for the heart of Clayton Echard. It’s already looking like this season will join the others as a ratings hit for the network.
As usual California leads the contestant count with 7 ladies (story HERE).
But Florida comes in second this time with 4 contestants. And two of them are from Orlando. I can’t remember the last time we had two from the greater metropolitan area.
Hailey Malles, 26, is a pediatric nurse from Orlando.
Rachel Recchia, 25, is a pilot from Clermont.
There is also Melina, 27, who is a personal trainer from Hollywood and Marlena, 30, a former Olympian from Gainesville.
As for the other states, Texas and New York are tied with 3. Colorado and Ohio each bring 2 contestants to this season.
Echard is a former football player. Jesse Palmer, a former NFL QB and analyst for ESPN will be the host for this season. He is also a former contestant.
The show is always a lot more fun when there is someone local to support. Here is hoping Hailey and Rachel make a strong run.
