ESPN: Fans think JJ Redick keeps it so real, they’re worried he might not be around much longer

Former Duke standout and Orlando Magic player, JJ Redick, has been very well received on ESPN television by viewers. He’s fearless. He’s not afraid to go back and forth with anyone, including network star, Stephen A. Smith when it comes to the NBA.

The latest example was his exchange with Chris Russo regarding Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors. Another star player who’s demonstrated they’re not backing down from anyone.

Redick accused Russo of “Fox News” rhetoric when talking about the NBA star, in the context of generalizations and the “shut up and dribble” narrative coined by FOX News anchor Laura Ingraham regarding LeBron James.

He was applauded by fans on social media and found himself trending in the top ten afterwards. But fans are concerned that his bravery may get him on the wrong side of ESPN executives and that he could disappear from TV.

Should viewers indeed be worried about JJ Redick staying on the air?

I debated on television for a long time. Specifically, on politics which is volatile and unpredictable. Most of this on air stuff should be getting received well, especially when its a top ten trending subject and spurring conversation.

If JJ is a good co worker behind the scenes, he should be fine. I look forward to seeing more of him.
